“Home Theater” is a very broad term that includes many installation possibilities and quality levels. At the very basic “consumer/retail” level, a home theater may be a plasma TV or a large-screen rear-projection TV with either a built-in or separate sound system. These “basic” systems advance in performance and cost as other consumer-level components are mixed with semiprofessional and professional components to enhance the system.
At the highest end of the quality spectrum, home theaters include professionally designed rooms with 15- to 20-foot-wide super bright screen images and state-of-the-art sound. We distinguish these high-end home theater experiences as “Dedicated Home Theaters.”
Both “Home Theaters” and “Dedicated Home Theaters” can also include items such as automated Theater Lighting and Window Treatments.
